"Food for thought"

Films: The Brain (1988)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Television isn't trying to hypnotize the public...at least, most of the time, now. And yes, the exception is due to an evil extraterrestrial. Perhaps those tin-foil hats are going to finally make a killing this time.

History: There is nothing more ironic than calling your mind control/warp T.V. network "Independent Thinkers". It is a means for a malevolent alien brain to control the populace and occasionally feast on their intellect (or them altogether). As it grows, so does its influence. Looks like it's up to some youth to undo the conspiracy.

Notable Kills: Eating someone whole while still in dog-sized brain form. Food for thought, indeed.

Final Fate: After chasing the heroes into a corner, one throws a cannister of sodium into its maw, causing it to explode violently.

Powers/Abilities: Mind control, rapid evolution, manipulation of one's perception of reality.

Weakness: Sodium.

Scariness Factor: 4-From unsettling living grey matter to demonic Pac-Man, this alien had a whole town wrapped around its non-existent finger. Next time, change the channel to something that's less chaotic.

Trivia: -There are actually several theories regarding mind control and whether T.V. networks use it or not. But even if they did, chances are that they aren't doing it to appease an evil brain monster.

-The credits for this film make it abundantly clear that mixing water and sodium is a deadly display of chemistry. Do it at your own risk.

Even in the Void, this creature remains smug.
Who needs bombs and fallout when you can just manipulate all around you?
Somebody probably has a camera for this.
Just roll in the Technodrome already.
